By downloading or using the Sakina app ("Application"), you agree to these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before using the Application.
You must be at least 13 years of age to use the Application. If you are under 13, a parent or legal guardian must review and accept these Terms on your behalf.
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, the Service Provider grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the Application on a mobile device for personal use. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, reverse engineer, or create derivative works from the Application except where expressly permitted by applicable law.
All intellectual property rights in the Application — including its code, design, trademarks, content, and branding — remain the property of the Service Provider. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use the Service Provider's trademarks or branding. The Arabic Quranic text included in the Application is in the public domain; English translations are used under their respective terms. Your personal mood entries and journal data belong to you.
Sakina offers optional auto-renewing subscriptions:
Payment is charged to your Google Play or Apple account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel your subscription at any time in Google Play → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions (Android), or Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions (iOS). No refunds are provided for unused portions of a subscription period unless required by applicable consumer law.
The Service Provider reserves the right to change subscription pricing with reasonable advance notice. Continued use after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new price.

Some features require an active internet connection. The Service Provider is not responsible if the Application does not perform at full capacity due to lack of Wi-Fi or exhausted mobile data. If you use the Application outside of a Wi-Fi area, your mobile provider's data charges apply. You are responsible for keeping your device charged and your account credentials secure. The Service Provider strongly advises against jailbreaking or rooting your device, as this may compromise security and cause the Application to malfunction.
Sakina is a personal spiritual companion app. Guidance provided in the Application is for personal reflection only and is not a substitute for scholarly religious advice, a fatwa service, or professional mental-health support. The Application is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.
The Service Provider is not responsible for inaccuracies in content provided by third-party services (such as prayer time data from the Aladhan API).
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service Provider shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost data or business interruption. However, the Service Provider retains full liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have under applicable mandatory consumer protection laws.
The Service Provider may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms. For remediable breaches, you will be given 14 days' notice to cure. Immediate suspension may apply for breaches involving illegal activity or harm to others. Upon termination, your right to use the Application ends and you must delete all copies from your devices.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates, excluding conflict of law rules, except where mandatory consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction provide otherwise. Disputes will be resolved in the courts that have jurisdiction under applicable law.
If any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, it shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force.
These Terms and Conditions, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and the Service Provider regarding your use of the Application.
The Service Provider may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated inside the app. Continued use after changes constitutes your acceptance. Previous versions are available upon request.
